We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the TENORS Doctoral Days 2026, taking place on 25–27 November 2026 at the University of Florence, Italy.
Under the theme “Tensors: Geometry, Optimization, and Applications”, the event will bring together PhD researchers, academics and experts to explore recent developments and connections between tensor methods, algebraic geometry, optimization, numerical methods and applications, including quantum-related topics.
We are delighted to welcome an excellent line-up of invited speakers, including Alessandra Bernardi, Alessandro Oneto, Angelika Wiegele, Birte Ostermann, Chiara Brambilla, Evelyne Hubert, Figen Öztoprak, Frédéric Holweck, Giancarlo Sangalli, Jakub Mareček, Marco Maggesi, Markus Schweighofer and Paul Breiding.
The scientific programme will cover topics including:

🔹 Algebraic & real algebraic geometry
🔹 Optimization & polynomial optimization
🔹 Numerical & symbolic methods
🔹 Applications of tensors and optimization, including quantum science
In addition to the scientific programme, the Doctoral Days will feature a soft-skills training session delivered by Inria, providing the TENORS doctoral candidates with an opportunity to develop complementary skills alongside their research training.
The event will also provide opportunities for scientific exchange, discussions, networking and collaboration, with participants invited to present their research through posters.
