Research semester on quantum algorithms and error correction at CWI

We are excited to announce a research semester program on quantum algorithms (QA) and quantum error correction (QEC), to be held at CWI in Amsterdam during the fall of 2026.

The central goal of this research semester programme is to unite the Dutch and international quantum community who are either currently engaged in or interested in exploring the topics of QA and QEC. This programme will offer participants a comprehensive introduction to these topics, provide insights into state-of-the-art advancements and foster a collaborative environment for novel research.

The programme will consist of a weeklong summer school and two workshops, complemented with a group of long-term visitors, in Fall 2026:

– 24-28 August, summer school on QA and QEC
– 16-18 September, workshop on QA
– 28-30 October, workshop on QEC

For the summer school, we are pleased to announce the following lecturers: Nicolas Delfosse (IonQ, Seattle), András Gilyén (Rényi Institute, Budapest), Anthony Leverrier (Inria, Paris), and Ashwin Nayak (IQC, Waterloo).

Please feel free to share this event with colleagues or students in your institute who may be interested.
